Submit Social Work Educator of the Year & Field Coordinator of the Year Nominations by Oct. 1
The Awards Committee invites you to submit nominations for the Alabama/Mississippi Social Work Education Conference Social Work Educator of the Year and the Field Coordinator of the Year.
Each year the Conference honors one Social Work Educator of the Year from each of the two states, as well as one Field Coordinator of the Year from each of the two states.
These annual awards are the Conference’s recognition of excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship in social work.
Nominees will be considered on the basis of the following criteria:
Active Involvement with the Alabama/Mississippi Social Work Education Conference
Involvement as an officer, planner, participant, presenter, facilitator, or volunteer will be considered.
Scholarly Activity, Service and Leadership
Demonstrated scholarly activity, service and/or leadership through research, publications, and/or other forms of volunteerism.
Community Service/ Outreach
Demonstrated service to the community through social activism, advocacy, board service, or other forms of volunteerism.
Model of Professionalism for the Social Work Students
Demonstrated professionalism within the spirit of the School Work Code of Ethics.
The nomination should address each of the above criteria and may include any other comments that substantiate the nominee’s qualifications for each Social Work Educator of the Year or Field Coordinator of the Year.
