Call for Proposals
Submit Proposals and Papers by May 18, 2018

In addition to proposals related to the conference theme, topics related to social justice, diverse populations, and current practice issues are also encouraged.

Suggested topics include:

  • Response to Public Policy

  • Integrated Health/Care Management

  • Bridging the gap between classroom and practice

  • Ethical Challenges in the Digital Age

  • Technology in the classroom and beyond

  • Accreditation, EPAS, Core competencies (e.g., what field directors and instructors need to know)

  • Health/Mental Health and Community Education

  • Field Related Topics:

    • Building Quality Placements for Students

    • Collaboration with Field Instructors

    • Transition from Classroom to Field

    • Resolving Conflicting Expectations of Field Placements

Papers and workshops are encouraged from students, faculty, field instructors and coordinators, program directors and practitioners.

Proposals are limited to two submissions per author. Proposals are limited to 500 words and a brief 50-word description and must include the attached Proposal Cover Sheet.

Proposals and papers will be selected for presentation at the conference and for student awards, respectively based on relevance/importance to social work education, innovativeness (e.g., presentation of new ideas, evidence, or skills), and technical quality (e.g., sentence structure, grammar, spelling, research design, statistical analysis, APA format).  There should be no identifying information in the proposal in order to assure an anonymous review process.
